JV Game 4 - Jefferson (15) @ East Jackson (1)

The Jefferson Dragons JV squad took the field for only one game this past week due to weather, but made a big showing as they hit the road to take on the Eagles of East Jackson. Dragons took control of this game right out of the game as they stormed ahead to a 7 run top of the 1st inning and then cruised to take a 15-1 win in 5 innings over the Eagles.  #19 Logan Garner got the start for the Dragons on the hill.  Garner kept East Jackson quiet in the 2 innings of work with just 2 hits allowed.  #10 Allen Bryan stepped up in relief in the 3rd and controlled the hill the rest of the way.  Bryan put in 3 innings of work recording 3 Ks and just 1 run and 1 hit.  On offense, Jefferson jumped out early with a 7 run 1st inning including a lead-off Double by #20 Justin Cole and capped with a 2 RBI single by #5 Brandon Trefren, and a RBI Single by #2 Bryce Conkel who went 2-for-2 with 2 RBI for the game.  #11 Garrett Brown and #22 Brooks Beddow each contributed big offensively as well.  Brown went 2-for-3 including a Double with 3 RBI, and Beddow also went 2-for-3 including a Double and RBI.  This big win puts the Dragons still unbeaten at 3-0-1 for the season and have outscored their opponents 35-16.  This coming week, they hit the road to take North Oconee and Stephens County.
